Identification of children that qualify for the Title I Part C could be confusing, due specific legal considerations;

Our legal definition of "agriculture" (that includes activities beyond the production of raw product); to qualify children/youth based on their agricultural jobs in previous moves.

Kansas has developed a professional staff highly trained and equipped to ensure all children/youth that qualify for Title I Part C has been Identified and Recruited.

Please don't hesitate in contacting us anytime to evaluate weather or not the children/youth qualify for the educational services of Migrant Education Program.

This children just arrived to my High School because mom and dad find a job in a local warehouse. Nobody at Home is working in qualifying agricultural activities at this moment, but they dad moved by himself 2 years ago and engaged in  Agricultural seasonal jobs. Do the children qualify for the Title I Part C Migrant Education program?

Yes. 

We have:

a) a Migratory Agricultural Worker.

b) a Migratory Children

c) a Qualifying Move.

A family with 2 children elementary school age arrived town last year. As soon as they arrived Dad started working at the local gas station, and also at the same time made some part time jobs during a couple of  weekends fixing  the fence of a local farmer. 

Does  the children qualify for the Title 1 Part C Migrant Education Program?

Yes. 

We have:

a) a Migratory Agricultural Worker. (farm fencing is a qualifying activity that Dad made soon after arriving)  

b) a Migratory Children 

c) a Qualifying Move.
